i did this flyer for an artist collective (Caona) that supports and promotes the independent emancipation of women of colour in music through networking/sisterhood/etc.

i'm close to this issue so i'm happy i was able to make this flyer :)

however, here was my favorite:

Grand Concours Guide Hachette des Vins 2010

No, I haven't won this one. But I sure hope I do. I love wine and I'd love to learn more about how to tell if one is any good. So here's what I submitted to the contest. Let's cross our fingers, shall we?

Hachette threw this contest because their old covers are pretty... "plain" looking. So I kept something simple and modest with a little twist to it. Also, I avoided using red.  I thought it would be too obvious. Here are some of Hachette's previous covers:

Cineffables - Festival de Films Lesbien et Féministe de Paris

this is the winning poster i entered to Cineffable film festival for its Fall 2009 edition. well actually, the first version is the winning poster. the second version is what i had to change.



notes:
- yes i was very "inspired" by tank girl
- some friends with good taste told me i use way to many fonts and i admit that is a fault. a recent website design has helped me overcome my need to overpopulate my designs.
- same friends subsequently thought the loss of tank girl's face was a little sad because it made the poster a little edgy. still, you have to give the client what they ask for. it was a contest and not a personal project...

CHAN: Canada Haiti Action Network - "Hands Off Haiti"

i donated a song to this CD compilation a few years back
it's for the families living in the slums of Cité Soleil in Port au Prince, Haiti.
i also got to make the CD's artwork.
unfortunately, i never got a CD...
